Few objects can claim to have created a fascination comparable to that which the guitar has exerted on our collective unconscious for more than a century.
From small so-called “romantic” guitars played in the boudoirs of the bourgeoisie in the nineteenth century to the eight strings of the virtuoso of the djent, through the Gibson L-0 of the bluesman Robert Johnson, the white Stratocaster of Hendrix or the Les Paul by Jimmy Page.
No instrument has been the source of so many musical styles, none has aroused such an obsession for five generations of professional and amateur musicians, music lovers and collectors.
No other object can claim to have led the picket lines of the 1930s in the United States or to have composed the soundtrack of the revolts and revolutions of the 1960s. The guitar is part of our daily life, and for the most of us it evokes images with which we have built ourselves, defined. We all remember where we were when we first heard Stairway to Heaven, Smoke On The Water, Back in Black, Nuages, or for the younger ones, Welcome To The Jungle.
There is the music, and there is the object itself. Between the genius designs that have not aged 70 years later (Telecaster in mind of course), the improbable tinkering that sparked revolutions (Les Paul and his electric attempts), the great classics and the oddities, he There is something for every taste. We all have our favorite little ones, the ones we managed to find against all odds and of course the ones we will buy the same day if we win the lottery.
Of course, with the explosion of the vintage market, it is not easy to satisfy all of your fantasies. But there is still a way to have a collection of ultra-rare and precious guitars hanging on the wall of your studio while still being able to pay your rent: welcome to La Cappella, The Cappel for the intimate ones, the chapel of the guitar lovers. believers and practitioners.
The Cappel offers a series of illustrative posters of very high quality representing the most beautiful vintage and old guitars.
This is where Jérôme Pinatel comes in, who has put his science of drawing at the service of his passion for the guitar. Musician since the age of 13, first on his father's gypsy with the neck tuned like a bow and then on an Eko Cobra short scale bass from the same father.
Armed with this red bass with flat spun strings, Jérôme studied in rock cover groups in middle school and then in high school, while building his guitar culture with the help of salespeople in the stores where he spent his Saturdays.
After studying Applied Art, he ran a graphics studio and a photo studio, where he became the shadow illustrator for many architectural firms and for huge websites like Ticketmaster. His passion has never left him, and he now presents a collection that he truly considers to be the work of a lifetime.
The term collection does not mean that you will be able to acquire all the posters at once: like a real collection of guitars, you will have to wait for each model and order it individually, being sufficiently responsive since 150 prints or 30 prints (depending on the size chosen) only will be made for each instrument. The prints in question are of the highest possible quality, of the level of an art print with mixed media, all to obtain a real work of art in a format 30x60 cm, 40x80 cm, 50x100 cm or 60x120 cm for which you will easily find a framework worthy of the name.
Once your guitar is framed, it's up to you to display it like a portrait gallery or cabinet of curiosities. Because of this demand for quality, The Cappel posters are both highly desirable items for fans but also an ideal gift idea for friends or spouses of guitarists who still cannot afford a real guitar on every occasion ...
Or for those who already have them all! Enter the chapel and discover the gift of a talented enthusiast to our community of enthusiasts.
