Reaching the 100-issue mark is no small feat, in a context where the paper press is not spared in any way between the various health crises, the advent of the Internet and social networks and increases in the price of paper. Yes, but that would be without counting on you, faithful readers who know that the press and your magazine in particular have a special status in the role that is to inform.

Passing the 100 issues mark is not an easy task, in a context where the paper press is not spared in anything between the various health crises, the advent of the internet and social networks and the increases in the price of paper.
Yes, but that would be without counting on you, faithful readers who know that the press and your magazine in particular have a special status in the role that is to inform. To publish 100 issues dedicated to the best bassists, the most inspiring instruments, and music in general, while remaining independent, requires a constant passion. This passion which animates the team since the beginning of the adventure is intact. We have a special thought for those who initiated the adventure, including Alain Versini, without whom this magazine would never have been born. What a foolish bet to believe that the bass could free itself from the magazines dedicated to the guitar. And yet, thanks to a passionate and supportive community, open and benevolent, Bassiste Magazine was able to prove that it was possible to talk about bass without going round in circles and that in each issue, there was something to learn, from Tony Levin, Paul McCartney, Fieldy, Robert Trujillo or Sting. They are all in our retrospective of the 100 greatest bassists of all time and, as you can imagine, we had to make choices to respect the number 100: Guy Pratt (whose signature head we test in this issue), Bob Babbitt, Corine Marienneau or Michael Manring are missing, just to name a few. We have also made a retrospective of the equipment released since the first Fender Precision, not without including some nice commercial or technological gadgets, all without ranking, to allow you to pick quietly among all these instruments offered to our creativity.
We don't change the formula for all that and the pedago is also there for this issue, with something to make you want to go further on 4, 5 or 6 strings (seven-stringers in the room?).
We just have to roll up our sleeves for the next hundred issues, with a first order satisfaction, since it will be much easier to fit all our heroes in a selection of 200 bassists. In the meantime, don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss the next issues.
