Sometimes it doesn't take much to shake the building, and if someone had ever predicted what 2020 would be like, few of us would have believed it. A year that is all the more unique in that, in addition to an unprecedented confinement that has closed the newsstands, put the Post Office on hold, brought a halt to tours, to most record releases and to the activity of equipment manufacturers and distributors, the company B.G.O., which publishes Bassiste Magazine but also Guitare Xtreme, Batterie Magazine and Guitare Sèche Le Mag, has had to deal with the filing for bankruptcy of its historic distributor, which has left several months of unpaid sales. In these conditions and in the uncertainty linked to the virus which continues to weigh, we took the heavy decision to stop, for a moment, publishing. After these few months during which you have shown us your unwavering support, through your numerous messages on social networks, through your participation in the Leetchi fund, through the maintenance or even the taking of your subscriptions, we are back. Your magazine has changed and we will continue its transformation in the coming issues, but our motivation and the fire that drives us remain intact and have even increased during this forced silence...

Sometimes it doesn't take much to shake the building, and if someone had ever predicted what 2020 would be like, few of us would have believed it. A year all the more unique because in addition to an unprecedented confinement which made close the kiosks, put the Post office in sleep, put a stop to the tours, to the majority of the releases of discs and to the activity of the manufacturers and distributors of material, the company B.G.O which publishes Bassiste Magazine but also Guitare Xtreme, Batterie Magazine and Guitare Sèche Le Mag had to deal with the bankruptcy of its historical distributor, which left several months of unpaid sales.
In these conditions and in the uncertainty related to the virus which continues to weigh, we took the heavy decision to cease, for a moment, to publish After these few months during which you have shown us your unwavering support, through your numerous messages on social networks, through your participation in the Leetchi fund, through the maintenance or even the taking of your subscriptions, we are back. Your magazine has changed and we will continue its transformation in the coming issues, but our motivation and the fire that drives us remain intact and have even increased during this forced silence. On the one hand, music remains a passionate activity and we need it cruelly in these troubled times, on the other hand, many of you are affected by the pandemic and its consequences. We are thinking in particular of professional musicians who are particularly vulnerable, but also of all the amateurs who have lost the pleasure of performing in public. The journalists, the editorial staff and the teaching teams are happy to see you again and wish you a lot of pleasure in reading this issue, with a selection of 101 bass lines that will get you moving, whether you are confined or not. We've also tested some things that will allow you to play at home: check out the Captor X or AmpliTube 5 reviews. Finally, the pedagogy section has been filled with videos available on the magazine's YouTube channel to help you sharpen your game for the spring, which we're sure will be bright.
Thank you. Take care.
