The return of Batterie Magazine in newsstands and in digital, at the end of January, has been a relief for our team. We are sincerely happy to have put an end to this nine months period without publication... And what a pleasure to receive all your messages when you discovered our new formula. Your reactions and enthusiasm have been far beyond our expectations. Thank you all! Now, it's up to us to stay the course by proposing subjects capable of meeting your requirements. Like everyone else, we have had to adapt our working methods to the current context. No more hanging out in concert halls with the artists or in the showrooms of drum brands. Interviews via Zoom or Skype have become legion and even if we must admit that we are seriously missing "physical" meetings, communication tools allow us to easily talk with our interlocutors all over the world. One thing is sure, these sanitary conditions do not prevent us from staying close to our favorite drummers and exchanging with them constantly. The "drum community", which is already particularly close-knit in normal times, is sticking together like never before and it's great to see. But like all of you, we would give a lot to feel again the thrill of a good kick in the front of a concert hall...
As usual, with the contents of this issue 178, we have tried to satisfy all musical souls: death metal, jazz, Cuban music, Indian, variety, pop, rock, hip-hop... Almost all the facets of groove are represented, with this inexhaustible desire to free oneself from musical borders. We wish you a good reading and don't forget, if you want to support Batterie Magazine, nothing could be easier: subscribe! (see page 36 or on batteriemagazine.com)
