A light at the end of the tunnel? As we close this issue, the French have just learned of the imminent reopening of certain cultural venues. Exhibitions, theaters, concerts, cinemas, festivals... professionals of the entertainment industry are working hard to put an end to this much too long intermission. Obviously, the deconfinement of culture will be done in stages and the return to normal is clearly not for immediately. Nevertheless, we must admit that this light at the end of the tunnel is comforting and synonymous with hope among the actors of the entertainment industry, and more particularly those of the music industry...

A light at the end of the tunnel?
As we close this issue, the French have just learned of the imminent reopening of certain cultural venues. Exhibitions, theaters, concerts, cinemas, festivals... the professionals of the entertainment industry are working hard to put an end to this intermission that is much too long. Obviously, the deconfinement of culture will be done step by step and the return to normal is clearly not for immediately. Nevertheless, we must admit that this light at the end of the tunnel is comforting and synonymous with hope among the actors of entertainment, and more particularly those of music. One of our journalists, who is a musician, has already been able to experience the joys of live music by going to Switzerland. What a thrill! In addition to the concerts, we will not hide you that it would be exciting for us to carry out our interviews other than by interposed screens! In short, the morale of the troops is high, but we can't help but think back to June/July 2020, when we thought we had gone through the hardest. We know the rest...
But let's stay focused on the summer, which is going to be a great one musically, with the return of TOTO via the album/DVD, With A Little Help From My Friends, recorded with its brand new line-up, masterfully led by... Robert "Sput" Searight (Ghost-Note/Snarky Puppy). A surprising (and yet judicious) choice, which divides among the community of drummers and fans of the Porcaro God. Batterie Magazine went behind the scenes of this collaboration between "Sput" and Steve Lukather's band.
