2021 will soon be a distant memory. Apart from the health context, this year has gone by like a flash, with its share of surprises and events (Toto's reformation with Robert "Sput" Searight, the new Gojira, the return of the Bag'Show, Prince's posthumous album with Chris Coleman...), and tragedies (the disappearance of Joey Jordison and Charlie Watts). For this last issue of the year, our testers have gone all out to concoct a "special Christmas" shopping feature to give your loved ones a little inspiration just before the holidays. Our team also went to meet Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, The Pineapple Thief), a sensitive nerd whose drumming and career still have many surprises in store. The Englishman gave us a fascinating and uncompromising interview about his vision of the instrument, his relationship to business and money, scratching some facets of the profession (drum clinics, the session man job). A discussion also marked by the expression of a boundless devotion towards his art. Gavin will even be taken of a rare mad laugh while describing this quasi carnal report which he maintains with the drum... We can't help but draw a parallel with Jimi Hendrix who admitted to sleeping with his guitar... Without a doubt our best interview with the artist in 17 years.
