Who would have imagined that one day we would publish a cover stamped with the mythical language of the Rolling Stones with Steve Jordan on the front page? A year ago, Charlie, Mick, Keith and Ronnie seemed immortal. They were also among the first artists to leave this dark den called "Covid-19" to return to the US roads. A tour started on September 20th, 2021, which will be done, finally, without their emblematic drummer...

A tour started on September 20, 2021, which will be done, finally, without their iconic drummer...
Steve Gadd said: "For me, they are no longer the Stones, without Charlie..." It's hard (even for Jordan) to argue with that statement. One thing is certain, few drummers knew Charlie as well as Steve Jordan, both on a human and a "drumming" level (the two shared a 40-year friendship). As sad as it may be, the greatest band in rock wants to continue to write its legend and we can't blame it for having made a casting error.
In an exclusive interview the day after the first date of the SIXTY Tour in Madrid (Charlie's birthday!), Steve Jordan agreed to give us an hour of his time to go back over (among other things) the background to this historic collaboration.
Also on the agenda: Nicolas Defer, Raphaël Pannier, Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint), our report at the Stade de France with Ludwig Dahlberg (Indochine), at the Accor Arena (Bercy) with Duayne Sanford, sideman for the new princess of pop, Dua Lipa, without forgetting our tribute to the great Alan White (Yes), our gear tests and pedagogical sections to work on your instrument all summer long! Have a great vacation and take advantage of the return of the big festivals to support the artists on stage! We'll see you in September for a new musical season full of surprises.
