A few months ago, we celebrated our 200th publication in style with a special issue compiling 200 tips from the pros "on how to become a better drummer". 200 tips and quotes collected over the years from some of drumming's greatest icons. It's a painstaking task, achieved by delving into the 1,700 interviews published in your magazine since 2004. And judging by the issue's sales, it's a concept you'll love.

And judging by the issue's sales, you liked the concept.
In the wake of this release, and just a few months away from Batterie Magazine's 20th anniversary, another idea was born in the failing minds of certain members of our team: that of dedicating an issue not, as usual, to the drummers who make us dream, but to those who have been imagining and manufacturing their tools for over a century! Indeed, while "gear" has always occupied a prominent place in our summaries, through our test benches, practical files and other shopping sections, until now we had never dared to devote our cover to our beautiful instrument without it being overshadowed by the aura of its owner. Now we've done it.
Nicolas Muller, creator of the French Grip Channel YouTube channel and a member of our editorial team for almost a year, is a well-known face in the world of drums. His outspokenness, his knowledge of the field and his analysis, generally coupled with a wry sense of humor, make him a key figure in our profession. "The concept would be a serious but still funny listing of 100 brands that have made the history of the battery, with anecdotes, sorted information, big misses, etc." This is the idea that Nico put on the table. Six months later, you have the result in your hands.
Happy reading and back to school!
