Guitare Sèche Le Mag numéro 58
Réf. GS 58Made by : Editions BGOWe were drawn with the myth of the genius, who created everything, all alone, ex nihilo. This figure of the artist still poisons our representations, sometimes preventing us from simply picking up our guitar and playing or composing. However, when we meet established artists, they all insist on several undeniable facts. On the one hand, they are the fruit of a culture, of a heritage. This heritage can be familial as for Axel Bauer, Jean-Luc Thievent, Tchavolo Schmitt or Ben Harper, but it can also be that of a whole culture, as for Dan Ar Braz. On the other hand, this heritage is only a raw material that must be shaped, worked on, sometimes to the point of madness. However, we are sometimes presented with only the glamorous part of the creative act, the flash of genius, the miraculous studio session, the concert in front of a full house. We too often forget the sweat, the doubts and the fact that nobody is born a genius and a virtuoso. Is hard work enough? No, but it is essential and since it is only music, it is absolutely necessary to keep this notion of pleasure and to stop comparing oneself to such or such musician. Just pick up your guitar. Often. And play. We have prepared for you some beautiful solo pieces or pieces to share throughout the fall, some tests of beautiful guitars that make you want to play and interviews of musicians who have all gone through and are still going through doubt and work on the instrument. Take what inspires you and go for it: no one will do it for you as well as you will.
