At parties, with friends, we all sometimes remake the world (of music) and imagine improbable and crazy collaborations between some of our favorite musicians, in a word: to fantasize about the supergroup of our dreams. For us, one of these little miracles came true a little after the holidays, when we received in our mailboxes the first samples of this project initiated by Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen. It was like a bridge was suddenly created between two periods of our lives and the best thing is that the association keeps its promises and teleports us to the heart of the 70's, with this Bad Company rock mixed with soul, the two men crossing sleeves and microphones...

At parties, with friends, we all sometimes remake the world (of music) and imagine improbable and far-fetched collaborations between some of our favorite musicians, in a word: fantasize about the supergroup of our dreams. For us, one of these little miracles came true a little after the holidays, when we received in our mailboxes the first samples of this project initiated by Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen. It was as if a bridge was suddenly created between two periods of our lives and the best part is that the association keeps its promises and teleports us to the heart of the 70's, with this Bad Company rock mixed with soul, the two men crossing sleeves and microphones. Adrian and Richie told us their beautiful story, a real bonus in these covidated times where musical pleasures are reduced to a minimum. In addition, the third and long-awaited opus of Liquid Tension Experiment, a work as dense as it is enjoyable, made a forced landing on our desks. Coincidence: our friend John Petrucci, in the middle of recording the next Dream Theater, proposed us a video, an unforgettable moment that we share with you. The reborn life of your magazine Guitar Xtreme has also been turned upside down by a much less funny event. We were very saddened to learn, during the writing of this issue, of the death of our friend and colleague Tany Debons, who had been diagnosed with an incurable disease in early spring. Known by everyone in the business for her professionalism and extreme kindness, Tany had worked for Master Press (Guitarist Magazine, Keyboards) before assisting the editorial staff of our magazines for some 15 years as assistant advertising manager. Tany, we are proud to have known you. We think very hard of your children and grandchildren and we join your / our friend, former boss and director of publication Alain Versini (founder of Éditions BGO and creator of Guitare Xtreme Magazine, Batterie Magazine, Bassiste Magazine and Guitare Sèche Le Mag) to dedicate this number 100 to you with all our heart.
