The question of the future has never been so prevalent and, projected as we are daily into a hypothetical future, manipulating instruments whose principle is slowly approaching a hundred years old has something of a paradox. The artist questions the present, except that for months it is his future that is questioned. On the one hand, by the health crisis that we are all going through, which deprives professional musicians of income and does not seem to want to end. On the other hand, the more global movement of a society in perpetual acceleration, which continues to crush the weakest, in particular through a reform of the unemployment insurance which caused, among other things, the occupation of theaters everywhere in France. Finally, the future of the planet, which is more uncertain than ever and which continues to bend under the weight of rampant industrialization. It is partly this concern that feeds the approach of Joe Duplantier, leader of Gojira who, during a long interview, comes back on his working method and what pushes him to always work with old school tools, the whole on the background of ecology.
The tools of the future are also present in our hardware part with an exhaustive test of the phenomenon of the year, the Quad Cortex which is still out of stock. We still managed to get our hands on one and push it to its limits. Nevertheless, you'll still find some old-school gear, tubes, transistors and wooden guitars.
