Well, I might as well tell you from the start, we're certainly not going to let the ambient gloom dampen our spirits, especially after the exceptional summer we've just had, with all the beautiful festivals we've been lucky enough to find after two years of frugality. The sector is getting back to life, the bands are on the road and the coming months are going to be full of fun, rock'n'roll, discoveries and meetings.

It's the same for the equipment. Manufacturers and craftsmen are keeping a firm grip on their businesses in the face of the delirious increases in raw materials and electronic components. They keep their niaque and continue to gratify us with beautiful novelties, as we could see it very recently at the Guitar Summit of Mannheim which opened the season of the guitar shows. On the music front, among the important releases of this fall, there is Radiance, the new album of The Dead Daisies, a good and consistent hard rock band. The Australian-American quartet draws its strength from Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Black Sabbath, and counts in its ranks an authentic guitar hero who unleashes the hell out of Les Paul and Marshall Super Lead, the sacred tandem that cemented the sound of contemporary rock. Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) is an endangered animal, a balancing act that knows how to flirt with clichés without ever falling into caricature or nostalgia. We are honored to dedicate our front page to this great man!
Excellent reading to all.
