Hi to you Guitar Xtremists,
The rebirth of the magazine with the issue 98, whose cover was dedicated to Eddie Van Halen, has generated a lot of enthusiasm from you. For us, who were in expectation after ten months of absence, your encouraging emails, your enthusiastic comments on social networks and of course, your new subscription requests have been a huge relief. This confirms us in the idea that the change of course made for this recovery is the right one. From now on, it's up to us to satisfy you and surprise you with exciting content that meets your requirements. So, a big thank you for being here, especially in a period where the faltering economy complicates the situation on many levels, on your side as well as ours, but also on the musicians' side, who have been unable to play and travel for almost a year. As you can imagine, we start to miss the backstage meetings at concerts and festivals, but they too, and without interfaces such as Zoom or Skype, our jobs would become frankly morose. Fortunately, we stay in permanent contact with the musicians we love, who also count on us to defend the albums they release, year in, year out, during this period of crisis, and that they won't be able to defend on stage (at least for now)... For this new issue of the magazine, we were able to spend a good time with the buddy Steve Lukather, by interposed screens, of course, but it was still a lot of fun and laughter. Always equal to himself, Luke gave us his feelings about the pandemic world, with his straightforwardness and his sometimes grating humor. He also talked about the future of Toto, his solo album I Found the Sun Again, and the balance of life he has found after a few years of pain and loneliness.
This issue 99 also highlights the eclecticism of our editorial line with varied musical colors and a balance between artists, gear and tutorials. Don't hesitate to write us to give us your comments and suggestions. We wish you a pleasant reading and do not forget that to support your magazine Guitar Xtreme, the best way remains to subscribe by going to page 46 of this issue or on our site www.guitarextrememag. com.
