The classical guitar is a light acoustic guitar with a wide neck and a flat radius. It usually has twelve frets off the top. The classical guitar can be played with the fingernails or with the fingertips depending on the type of sound you want to obtain. The strings are made of nylon for the highest strings (G, B, E) and with a core made of multiple nylon fibers surrounded by bronze for the three lowest strings (E, A, D).
