Guitare acoustique MJS Model L
Réf. ML-SP/W-GSBMade by : MJS Guitars
The Model L is the MJS version of a classic pre-war guitar.
Based on an original 1932 model (which Godefroy was lucky enough to restore) with a sound so enchanting that he wanted to understand its essence.
In its Local-Wood version, the Model L is made entirely of non-exotic woods and the original plastic purfling is replaced by a maple purfling, a more natural option that visually does not detract from the style of the instrument.
The V-shaped neck profile offers playing comfort and stability.
The fingerboard is usually the most problematic part of the guitar to replace. Its wood should be hard, dense and preferably dark in color. To stay in the Local-Wood spirit, at MJS we have adapted a vacuum resin injection technique that hardens and densifies the wood (stabilization). This allows me to use walnut, a dark and very figured wood but too soft in its raw state as a fingerboard. This technique can also be used for other woods. Moreover, this process has the advantage of sealing the wood and making the fingerboard and neck more stable to hygrometric changes.
Cellulo sunburst varnish on the top and matte polyurethane on the rest of the guitar
