Summer is here, and with it, aperitifs on the terrace, possible vacations and the most insidious of solicitations. In other words, it takes an iron will to find the time to work on your bass.

Here comes the summer, and with it, the aperitifs on the terrace, the possible vacations, the most insidious solicitations. In other words, it takes an iron will to motivate yourself to keep time to work on your bass. However, we do everything we can to keep you in shape. The program is simple and consists of three points. 1. Inspiration. We infuse the stories told by the artists in interviews, we listen to the good word. Likewise, we listen to the albums reviewed in this issue for new ideas. 2. Perspiration. We're throwing ourselves into the pedagogical pages, because our team has decided to give you a few challenges to complete. For the more studious among you, there really is enough to get you through the two months of summer. 3. Action. Get involved in your progress, find a band, rehearse, test new instruments, compose, in short, do things instead of geek out on online sales sites and social networks. We've taken care of the testing for you, so don't be surprised: this month, we've gone for affordable, well-made stuff.
Last little exercise, take a look at our survey. There's a way to make your favorite magazine evolve and, in the process, pick up gifts for some. A way to participate in the evolution of Bassiste Magazine and especially not to undergo changes that those who vote will impose on you if you prefer to abstain. In short, two months of summer is not much, but it is enough to make you a new bassist. It's the opportunity to not recognize yourself at the end of these two months and to start a new life made of music and bohemia. All for the price of a magazine. So much for independent press, eh? If you agree, take the time to read the article dedicated to the situation of the music press in France, it will allow you to put it into perspective. Oh and don't forget our very well done subscription offer which allows you to get a Zoom H1N at a very low price.
