Northern Lights

It features 4 perfectly synchronized playback heads that can be mixed independently, a feedback control to adjust the number of repeats, a tone control and a full modulation control set (Speed and Depth) to add depth to the sound. This allows the Northern Lights to achieve an infinite number of delay types... Super precise slapbacks, magnetic echoes, rhythmic delays, but also ultra lively and soaring reverb layers...

As with all Thrilltone pedals, the Northern Lights is equipped with Cellular Clipping™ amps, which gives it excellent dynamics and a very vintage warmth.

Delay Time:
The delay time, which ranges from 50ms to 1000ms, is controllable with the TIME knob, but also with the TAP tempo footswitch.

Effect loop:
Among the interesting features of the Northern Lights, an effect loop for repeats has been added on the rear panel. By connecting other effects to it, it allows you to add color to the repeats, and opens the door to a multitude of psychedelic explorations. Imagine what it could do if you plugged in an EQ, wah, phaser, chorus, or flanger!

With a simple volume pedal, the effect loop can also be used to control its feedback level live and thus master the auto-oscillations that we love so much on magnetic echoes...

Switches and internal configurations

The Northern Lights features soft switches for ultra silent switching. It is possible to choose between a relay bypass or a buffered bypass.

Furthermore, the switching of the pedal can be done in Trail mode (the delay regeneration loop remains active after deactivation of the effect) or in Direct mode (the delay is cut directly after deactivation).

Finally, in order to be able to use the Northern Lights in any type of effect loop, it is also possible to configure its output in DRY+WET mode or in WET ONLY mode...
