Switch actif-passif
Réf. S003Made by : Vaudoo Audio
The switches have 2 positions:
- an active position, where the signal passes through the preamplifier
- a passive position, where the signal goes directly from the input to the output of the preamplifier (usually the jack), without passing through the preamplification stages.
Switching to passive mode can be useful in the following cases:
- If you are afraid of breaking down (which should not happen if your instrument is equipped with a Power Block!)
- If you want to be able to sometimes use another external preamp (e.g. for studio sessions)
- If you use the active sound a bit like an effect: passive sound for standard playing and preamp activation to stand out better on solos or certain parts. In this case, you need to set the gain to minimum on the Vaudoo-Audio preamp to ensure consistency between sound levels.
They are, here, proposed in toggle switch or push-push switch versions.
But it's also possible to have it on the shaft of the volume or tone potentiometer: see our other items on the store.
