VEMURAM ALLIES BRASS SL 3M LST/LST

Out of the 4 existing cable-shielding methods, Vemuram decided to use the Double-Spiral Shield for their Allies Cables as it tends to work better for stage use. It reduces the excess noise while keeping sufficient flexibility in the cable and still sounding very natural. For roughly 3 years, Vemuram tested all of the possibilities regarding density and strength of the copper wire. At the same time, they were developing their Allies plugs, combining both the cables and plugs in search for the sweet spot. The flexibility and the noise balance were also determining factors. Instead of lowering the capacitance, Vemuram mainly focused on testing and comparing the actual sound/tone of the cables by ear. As a result, the lowest capacitance cables were not the best and suitable sounding for guitar cables. To achieve the sweet spot, it needed a fixed amount of capacitance.

Vemuram also asked several top guitar players to test the Allies cables in live gigging situations, and asked how the cables sounded as well as what they'd except and desire from a cable, not only the tone but what features would make it much more usable product for touring musicians. After receiving their feedbacks, Vemuram made their plugs even better for the touring and gigging scene. They developed, tuned and tested countless numbers of plugs and cables including other manufactured products, and finally managed to accomplish the Allies Cables.

The inside surface of the plug is cut and shaped as a spiral screw thread so that, after tightening the external setscrews, the cable sits well and avoids shifting from excess force. Additionally, on the opposite side of the setscrews, there is an oval slit which slit lets the outer surface of the cable press-fit into it, preventing it from twisting or bending inside the plug. This way, there's no more risk moving around on stage.

The Allies unique custom plugs consist of 3 pieces carefully milled by CNC machines. Brass is used by many manufacturers but Vemuram selected and added a new material: Phosphor Bronze. Other materials were tested such as Beryllium Bronze and other alloys, but applying Phosphor Bronze gave a whole new characteristic to the sound, it is also rigid and suitable for instrument plugs. Compared to Brass, the phosphor bronze delivers more clarity to the sound, and adds the perfect amount of highs and the low frequencies. Using one or both of the phosphor bronze and the brass, 3 different types of plugs are available and offer varying sound characteristics:

- All Phosphor Bronze (Model name PPP), out of all the plugs it has a very wide range in character.
- All Brass (Model name BBB), an orthodox sounding cable resembling the so-called legendary guitar tones but adding more mid frequencies to the sound.
- Mix (Brass and Phosphor Bronze) - (Model name BPB) a very balanced sound where the high and the low frequencies are not too emphasized. Comparing it with the All Brass plugs, the mid frequency is stable and sustained, a flat characteristic to the sound.

Each plug type is then available in 2 sizes (short or long), 2 shapes (straight or right angle), 2 finishes (silver or custom vemuram) and 2 lengths (3 or 4,5 meters).

Each cable is available with several options:
- 3 plug structures: all brass (Brass), all phosphore bronze (Phosphore), phosphore bronze and brass (Mix).
- 2 plug colors: silver (SL) or Vemuram custom (VM).
- 2 cable lengths: 3m or 4,5m.
- 2 plug sizes: short (S) or long (L).
- 2 plug shapes: straight (ST) or right-angle (RA).
